Paris FC’s bid to sign SCO Angers’ Sidiki Chérif (19) has seemingly failed, with the young Frenchman intent instead on a move abroad.
Les Parisiens’ attention has therefore since turned to alternative targets. A low-budget option exists in the form of Stade Brestois’ Ludovic Ajorque, however, there is also a much more ambitious target, Mathys Tel (20).
The former Bayern Munich and Stade Rennais forward is reportedly open to a departure from Tottenham Hotspur this month in order to bolster his chances of making Didier Deschamps’ World Cup squad. The Frenchman is also keen to play more often in his favoured No.9 position, something that Paris FC are willing to offer him.
Florian Plettenberg understands that Paris FC are now working on a loan deal for Tel. However, a deal could prove difficult for the Ligue 1 side. Tottenham Hotspur are not – at this moment in time – willing to sanction a departure.
