Inter Milan wingback Federico Dimarco praised Cristian Chivu after tonight’s 2-0 victory over Parma.
Speaking to DAZN via FCInterNews, the Italian star waxed lyrical about the 45-year-old’s impact.
Goals on either side of halftime saw Inter Milan maintain their flawless start to the new calendar year.
Indeed, the Nerazzurri racked up their sixth consecutive win in Serie A following a 3-1 thrashing of Bologna on Sunday.
Federico Dimarco delivered a ‘Man of the Match’ performance, breaking the deadlock on the stroke of halftime.
Second-half substitute Marcus Thuram sealed Parma’s fate in the 98th minute, scoring in a second game on the trot.
As a result, Cristian Chivu won on his return to Stadio Ennio Tardini, steering Inter four points clear of second-placed AC Milan.
However, the Rossoneri will take on Genoa at San Siro tomorrow night.

Dimarco addressed the press after the game, heaping praise on Chivu’s impressive start to life at Giuseppe Meazza.
However, he also commented on Inter’s wastefulness in front of goal.
“Like in every match, we create a huge number of chances that, through bad luck or complacency, we fail to convert,” he said.
“Today it was important to win; now we turn our attention to Sunday.
“There’s a lot of talk going around. This team has achieved a great deal in recent years, even if it could have won more.
“After a final like the one last year, the squad really pulled together again thanks to the coach’s work.
“Now the true value of the group is coming out. Everyone runs for each other and we all celebrate together.”
Finally, he revealed that he hopes Inter could stay on this trajectory.
“Hopefully we can keep it going.
“Breaking the record of eleven? I don’t even know what I’m on right now – let’s hope so.”
