Parma’s Mateeo Pellegrino: Juventus can offer Jeff Ekhator in possible move | OneFootball

Serie A side Juventus remain keen on signing Parma’s Jeff Ekhator and there is a possibility of a swap deal going through.

Niccolo Ceccarini has reported that the Old Lady are working towards signing the Argentine, who is keen on the move. There is no agreement between Juve and Parma but it is coming closer.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report more details, clarifying that Pellegrino’s future could be connected to that of Jeff Ekhator.

Juve see the talent as ideal for Luciano Spalletti’s system but they could loan him for a season to further his development, especially if they sign another striker. Parma have shown they can develop strikers, as evident from Ange-Yoan Bonny and Pellegrino and they could Ekhator reach similar heights.

Juve can now offer him to Parma in the move for the tall forward, with Sassuolo previously interested when Tarik Muharemovic was an option for the Bianconeri. More enquiries could come for the talent but Juve are considering the idea of letting him depart on loan to help him develop better.

Decision would make sense

It could help Juve in both ways and it can open up a lot of avenues for Ekhator. He will be a guaranteed starter at Parma and earn a reputation before returning to Juve, thereby helping him either become a fixture of their side or then move on.
