Partners of former Wolves players shared emotional Instagram posts after the club’s relegation to the Championship was confirmed on Monday.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, the messages stirred supporters, with some urging the return of past favourites as thoughts turned to a promotion push.

The partner of ex-striker Raul Jimenez posted Wolves-themed photos of their children at Molineux and of Jimenez, captioned “once a wolf, always a wolf” and “Wolves aye we”.

Jonny Castro Otto’s partner also posted, sharing pictures with Otto and of the stadium. She described it as a painful moment, said Molineux would always be home and vowed no surrender, insisting Wolves would rise again to the Premier League.

One supporter suggested that, if Wolves are serious about coming back up, the club should try to persuade Jimenez to return.

The reaction followed an era of highs since 2018, notably under Nuno, when Wolves delivered two top seven finishes and reached a Europa League quarter-final.
