Ismael Saibari is on the verge of joining FC Bayern. The Moroccan has successfully passed his physical, and preparations are now underway to finalize the contract.

Ismael Saibari’s transfer to FC Bayern is drawing ever closer to completion. After reports that the attacking player had completed his medical examination at the Moroccan national team’s training camp, confirmation has now been received regarding the next important step.

According to Sky, Saibari has successfully passed his medical exam with FC Bayern. The exam took place in recent days at the Moroccan national team’s training camp in New Jersey. This clears one of the final hurdles before the transfer.

Bayern had organized the medical exam directly in the U.S. because Saibari is currently with Morocco at the World Cup. The AFP news agency had previously reported that Bayern’s team doctor, Dr. Jochen Hahne, is said to have conducted the exam on site.

Now it’s just a matter of finalizing the paperwork. According to Sky, preparations are currently underway for the digital signing of the contract. The handwritten signature is expected to follow after the World Cup.

Contract through 2031 is being prepared

Saibari is expected to sign a long-term contract with FC Bayern running through 2031. With this move, the Munich club is securing the Moroccan national team player’s services for several years and acquiring one of Vincent Kompany’s top targets.

New details have also emerged regarding the transfer fee. According to information from Sky, the total package now stands at 52 to 55 million euros. This puts the deal in the range that was most recently mentioned in connection with the agreement with PSV Eindhoven.

For FC Bayern, Saibari is a key component of their squad planning. The 25-year-old can be deployed flexibly in attacking midfield, on the wings, and in a slightly deeper role. Kompany is said to have worked intensively to sign the player over the past few months and to have convinced him to make the move during several conversations.

Saibari has also recently drawn attention for his on-field performance. In Morocco’s World Cup opener against Brazil, he scored the opening goal and was one of the most prominent players on the field.

Now that he has passed his medical exam, the transfer is practically in the home stretch. As soon as the contract is signed, FC Bayern is expected to officially announce the move.
