Pati Maldaner has rejected an $800,000 offer from Al Qadsiah of Saudi Arabia and will stay at Palmeiras, where she is under contract until the end of 2027.
According to Globo.com, the bid, worth about R$ 4.1 million, would have been the second biggest sale in Brazilian women's football, behind Amanda Gutierres' move from Palmeiras to Boston Legacy for R$ 5.9 million.
While pleased by the interest, the defender is focused on the club's objectives this year. She believes remaining in Brazil could improve her chances of competing for a place with the national team at the 2027 Women's World Cup, hosted in the country from 24 June to 25 July.
Now 23, she featured for Brazil at the 2022 Under-20 World Cup and won the South American youth title. In 2024 she trained with head coach Arthur Elias at Granja Comary as a support player before the Paris Olympics.
Born in Pinhalzinho, Santa Catarina, Maldaner joined Palmeiras in 2024 and quickly became a defensive pillar. She was named the best in her position in the 2025 Paulista Feminino and played 15 matches that year across the Brasileiro, Supercopa and Paulista.
Palmeiras are third in the first phase of the Brasileiro Feminino and head into the final round already qualified for the quarter-finals.
