Red Star have accepted Pau's offer for Hacène Benali, and the striker is now expected in Béarn to finalise a move.

The 26-year-old had been close to joining AS Nancy Lorraine, but the club could not meet the Saint-Ouen side's demands, according to L'Équipe.

Benali has been seeking an exit for several weeks and is under contract with Red Star until summer 2027.

Pau capitalised on the impasse with a proposal that topped Nancy's.

Financial terms have not been disclosed.
