According to Nosso Palestra, Palmeiras are managing Paulinho's return carefully. The forward could make a third straight appearance after his shin injury when they visit Remo on Sunday 10 at 16:00 Brasília time in Pará, in the Brasileirão.
He has featured twice since his comeback, around 20 minutes as a second half substitute against Santos, then roughly 10 minutes against Sporting Cristal in the Libertadores.
Paulinho had been sidelined for more than nine months with the shin problem. Before facing the Peruvians he did not train with the main group, completing only indoor work in the gym.
Load management remains in place and he is not yet cleared for a more intense run. The expectation is that he will be in the squad again and could gain further minutes, with his time increased step by step.
A similar pattern played out in 2025, when he appeared in two games after returning, then was rested to mitigate risk. The approach in 2026 is largely the same.
The trip to Pará is viewed as important in Palmeiras' push for the top places, and Paulinho's possible involvement offers Abel Ferreira another attacking option.
