Pavel Sulc named Czech player of 2025, Lyon’s most decisive attacker | OneFootball

Pavel Sulc has been named Czech player of 2025 by the Czech football federation after impressing for Olympique Lyonnais since joining from Viktoria Plzeň before the season.

Le Progres reports that the 25-year-old was honoured on Monday evening at the Forum Karlín in Prague.

Wearing Lyon’s number 10 and a favourite with supporters, he is currently the club’s most decisive player in 2025/2026 with 14 goals and 7 assists.

His form in France follows his contribution to Viktoria Plzeň finishing second in the league last season. It was a first for the Karlovy Vary-born forward.

A hamstring injury kept him out for four matches, a spell that was felt across Lyon’s attack.

He marked his return to the starting XI with a goal against Monaco on Sunday, though it did not prevent defeat for the Gones.
