Pec double closes series for LA Galaxy against Mount Pleasant FA

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup continued with LA Galaxy earning a 3-nil win over Mount Pleasant FA in the Second Leg of their Round of 16 series, winning 6-nil on aggregate, on Thursday at the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica.
João Klauss opened the scoring in the 18’ with a header from close range to put the MLS side in the lead.
Gabriel Pec, who recorded a hat trick in the first leg, extended the Galaxy’s lead in the 61’, as he snuck behind the defense to fired one home.
In the 87’, Pec pounced on a rebound off the keeper’s glove and netted his second of the match, to make it five total goals in the series for the Brazilian.
LA Galaxy will face Deportivo Toluca FC in the Quarterfinals in April.

• With LA Galaxy’s victory, U.S. clubs extended their unbeaten run against Jamaican teams in the Concacaf Champions Cup since at least 2008 (W9 D1).
• This is the first time LA Galaxy have kept a clean sheet across both legs of a Concacaf Champions Cup series (since at least 2008).
• João Klauss (LA Galaxy) opened the scoring against Mt. Pleasant and has been directly involved in three of the team’s last five goals in the Concacaf Champions Cup (1 goal, 2 assists).
• Harbor Tarczynski-Miller provided the assist for LA Galaxy’s opening goal and became the seventh player on the team with a direct goal contribution in this edition of the tournament. Gabriel Pec leads the team with four goals.
• JT Marcinkowski (LA Galaxy) recorded his third clean sheet in the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup. Since 2017, the only other LA Galaxy goalkeeper to achieve a clean sheet in the competition was John McCarthy against Tigres in 2025.
• Warner Brown (Mt. Pleasant) led his team in shots (4), matching his highest total in a Concacaf competition match (also four against Defence Force in the 2025 Caribbean Cup).
