Pedro Chirivella marries in elegant ceremony attended by Carlos Soler | OneFootball

Pedro Chirivella, the former Valencia CF midfielder now with Panathinaikos, married his partner at the weekend in an emotional, elegant ceremony.

According to Superdeporte, the couple exchanged vows surrounded by family and friends, with familiar football faces present, including his 'brother' Carlos Soler.

Chirivella, 29 and from Rocafort, joined Panathinaikos last summer after five seasons at Nantes in France, where he was captain and a central figure in midfield admired by the dressing room and fans.

He came through the academies of Valencia CF and Liverpool, who paid a fee to sign him for their youth ranks. Loans followed at Go Ahead Eagles and Willem II in the Netherlands, then Extremadura, before he left for Nantes on a free.

The midfielder departed Klopp's Liverpool seeking minutes and a new adventure, which he found in western France. He closed the season with an optimistic note about resting, improving and coming back hungrier to repay supporters after a demanding year.
