Chelsea winger Pedro Neto has escaped a ban for pushing a ball boy in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie with Paris Saint-Germain, according to Ben Jacobs.
The Chelsea ace will be available for the second leg at Stamford Bridge tomorrow as the Blues attempt to avenge a 5-2 defeat.
Neto let frustration get the better of him as PSG dismantled Chelsea, shoving a ballboy who held the ball for a bit too long.
Chelsea are likely heading out of the Champions League but will be determined to go down fighting.
The West Londoners need all hands on deck and will be buoyed to have the Portuguese international available.
Neto will be ready to go, having missed this weekend’s Premier League loss to Newcastle United due to a red card suspension.
The 26-year-old will likely come in on the left wing for Alejandro Garnacho, who was dreadful during the weekend game.
The injury-prone England international had managed to stay fit for an extended period but suffered a massive setback just days after signing a new deal.
The Blues will sorely miss James’s leadership, versatility, and world-class ability.
Thankfully, there is another positive for the FIFA Club World Cup champions with Estevao Willian returning to training.
The 18-year-old was in an open training session, having not played since early February.
However, it remains unclear whether Estevao will be involved against PSG on Tuesday night. Goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen was also not seen.
Defender Levi Colwill was involved but is unlikely to be available as he is still recovering from a major knee injury.
Midfielder Dario Essugo continues to build steam, having played for the under-21s at the weekend.
