Pep Guardiola is set to leave Manchester City at the end of the season, according to reports.

The Catalan’s future at the Etihad Stadium has been uncertain for a while, with speculation growing that he could finally leave the club after 10 years in the hotseat.

Now, however, it is believed that he will step down after a decade in the north west, and City will be forced to find his replacement ahead of the new Premier League campaign in August.

Guardiola, 55, led City to four successive top-flight titles and also won the club a maiden Champions League in 2023.

It has been reported that City are likely to announce the decision on Sunday, the final day of the campaign, when Aston Villa visit the Etihad Stadium.

Guardiola’s reported exit throws a further spanner in the works of this summer’s managerial merry-go-round, with several top clubs looking for new head coaches.

Chelsea and Manchester United have recently secured their preferred candidates ahead of next season, with Xabi Alonso moving to Stamford Bridge and an announcement set to be made by United that Michael Carrick will continue his work as the permanent manager at Old Trafford.

City could still be in with a chance of winning the league, should they beat Bournemouth on Tuesday.

Arsenal face Burnley on Monday evening, knowing that a win will see them move ever closer to a first title since 2004.

The Gunners could move five clear of Guardiola’s men with victory over the Clarets at the Emirates Stadium.
