Pep Guardiola reveals alarming Rodri injury update | OneFootball

Manchester City Pep Guardiola has provided an update on the wellbeing of midfield standout Rodri.

And the news will no doubt be met with concern on the part of those of a City and Spain persuasion alike.

Rodri was for his part forced to sit out this past weekend, as his Sky Blues teammates locked horns with Burnley in a Premier League clash.

Speaking to the media in the game’s aftermath, the subject of his midfielder’s wellbeing was in turn put to the aforementioned Pep Guardiola.

Rodri is of course not long off his return to the pitch following a devastating ACL injury in his knee.

And Man City’s headmaster went on to confirm that the Spanish international is dealing with a fresh round of pain in the same knee which previously forced him under the knife:

“In training [before the match], Rodri told me: ‘I can’t play. I have a lot of pain in my knee, I can’t play’.”
