Manchester City could find themselves six points behind the leaders by the time they travel to Everton on Monday night
Pep Guardiola has revealed if he will watch Arsenal this weekend as they look to pile more pressure onto his Manchester City side in a thrilling Premier League title race.
The Gunners currently hold a three-point buffer at the top-flight summit with four matches left to play this term having bounced back from a 2-1 loss at the Etihad Stadium to regain the lead last weekend courtesy of a nervy 1-0 home win over Newcastle, taking advantage of their rivals being in FA Cup semi-final action against Southampton at Wembley.
They have the added benefit of playing first this Bank Holiday weekend, hosting Fulham at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday evening with the chance to make it a six-point gap before City - who already have a game in hand - then go to Everton on Monday night.
Asked at Friday’s pre-match press conference if he would be watching Arsenal, Guardiola said: “What time do they play? It’s after a training session, so maybe I will watch it.”
Guardiola was quizzed about a number of different topics during his latest media appearance, including on domestic Treble-chasing City now finishing the season with four games in the span of just 12 days after new dates were confirmed for their rearranged matches against Crystal Palace and Bournemouth earlier this week.
"It is what it is,” he said on City’s hectic fixture list. “Arsenal are in the Champions League semi-final, so it is what it is. When we won the Treble, we had a similar calendar, but I learned a long time ago not to expect anything different. We have to adapt and take it game by game.
“It can happen in other countries [games being postponed to help teams], but here it is what it is. We have to adapt. If you don't like it, go and train in France or Portugal.

“I like being here, and I've said many times - when I was at Barcelona and saw managers here complain about the schedule - it has always been like this. So I never expected anything different.”
Guardiola also appeared to defend Arsenal’s style of play after contrasts made this week between their tense Champions League semi-final first-leg tie against Atletico Madrid and the nine-goal classic between Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich that occurred 24 hours earlier.
“Football is like this - everyone has their own style,” he said. “It was a good game [PSG v Bayern]. Atletico Madrid v Arsenal was another good game too.
“Of course, when you score nine goals in a semi-final, it's fantastic. Football has to be accepted in different ways.”
