Napoli will seek to end the Victor Osimhen ordeal once and for all in the summer and spread the income on multiple signings. There was some chatter about a January transfer already, but things didn’t progress much in that sense, Fabrizio Romano reports (via SOSFanta).

The striker is thriving on loan at Galatasaray, which will help the Azzurri cash in the full amount of his €70/75M release clause. He has been routinely linked with a move to the Premier League, but, while he wanted out last year, he wasn’t hell-bent on going to a specific country.

Instead, Osimhen prioritized maintaining his €11/12M salary, which he accomplished in Turkey. He was ready to go to Saudi Arabia to fulfill his wish. It remains to be seen whether Galatasaray will make a big effort for two seasons in a row, as they’d have to empty their coffers on the fee as well.

Chelsea kicked the tires on the Nigerian talisman but offered at most €7/8M per year. The marksman will look to join the highest bidder in that sense.

To each their own motivation, although it’d be a pity not to see him back in a top-five league at his age. Director Cristiano Giuntoli surely likes him, but Juventus will steer clear from humungous wages after Dusan Vlahovic. They won’t need another top-shelf striker if they keep Randal Kolo Muani. There aren’t many places where he could go if his salary is a problem even for Premier League powerhouses. PSG tracked him in the past, but they seem perfectly fine without a proper reference point up front.
