Piccinato challenges squad ahead of Corinthians’ decisive week

Corinthians visited Cruzeiro last Sunday for the first leg of the Women's Brasileirão final. After the draw, the club released behind-the-scenes footage, highlighting Lucas Piccinato, who gave speeches during and after the game, demanding focus from the players.

“Two or three goals made for us. We weren't efficient in the last match against São Paulo. Efficiency, precision, get face to face, take it away from Camila (Cruzeiro's goalkeeper) and score the goal. Concentration at all times”, said the coach during halftime, when the game was tied.

Even after gaining the lead again, Corinthians allowed Cruzeiro to equalize and the match ended in a draw until the final whistle. Now, the decision will take place in Itaquera, with expectations of a full house to support the Brabas.

“Work your ass off. Look at the mistakes, put the ego aside, because we need to improve in this damn thing. And have a hell of a week to wrap it up. Last game of the championship at home. I would have accepted it in the Supercup, I would have accepted it in last year's Paulista, but we didn't have it. Now we have it, with our fans by our side, we're going to play a great game and we're going to be champions of this damn thing”, emphasized Piccinato.

The game is scheduled to take place on Sunday, the 14th, starting at 10:30 AM (Brasília time). Tickets are not yet being sold by Corinthians, which should announce the sales details in the coming days.
