Pierre Sage seals Crystal Palace move after full agreement with Lens | OneFootball

Pierre Sage will take charge of Crystal Palace after a full agreement on Tuesday between RC Lens, Crystal Palace and the 47-year-old coach.

The deal follows his split from Lens early last week, after which his destination scarcely looked in doubt. According to L'Équipe, Sage had already settled terms with Palace and the clubs have now finalised his transfer.

Recently named Ligue 1 Coach of the Year at the Trophées UNFP, he should sign in the coming hours a contract running to 2029, with an additional year as an option. Palace are the recent Europa Conference League winners, and the move would allow him to realise his Premier League dream.

He should earn around four times the 100,000 euros gross per month he was paid at Lens.

Sage still had two years left on his Lens contract, with whom he won the Coupe de France, and the transfer should bring about five million euros to the club. With his exit confirmed, Lens can now move to finalise their new head coach, who could be Olivier Pantaloni.
