Pierre Sage looks all set to be named the new manager of Crystal Palace, as per reports from Fabrizio Romano, L’Équipe and RMC Sport.

As per L’Équipe, an agreement between Sage and Crystal Palace is about to be concluded. Both parties have been in contact for several days. Crystal Palace have been in the market for a replacement for Oliver Glasner, who announced earlier in the season that he would not continue at Selhurst Park beyond the end of the season.

Sage, meanwhile, led RC Lens to a second-place finish in Ligue 1 and to the Coupe de France title. However, having won the latter in late May, he began to cast doubt over his future at the club, despite the prospect of UEFA Champions League football next season.

In the coming hours, he is expected to sign a three-year deal with Crystal Palace. That deal will include the option for a further year, L’Équipe understands. RMC Sports understands that the Premier League side will pay Lens a €3m fee, potentially rising to €5m including bonuses.
