A giant Kings League billboard in central Madrid has rekindled Gerard Piqué’s running spat with Álvaro Arbeloa, sparking debate and laughter online.
According to Superdeporte, the former Barcelona defender used the new season launch to deliver a pointed nod at the ex Real Madrid full-back, echoing his old line that Arbeloa was an acquaintance, not a friend.
The banner reads “No somos tan CONOcidos”, with CONO highlighted in a different colour. Fans quickly linked it to past jokes that dubbed Arbeloa “cono”, a jibe at his performances.
