Pivotal Sunday in Castellón, Amics host Albacete as CD Castellón chase play-off | OneFootball

Castellón is set for a pivotal sporting Sunday, with Amics Castelló and CD Castellón facing decisive fixtures hours apart.

El Periódico Mediterráneo reports that Amics host Albacete at 12:00 at the Pabellón Ciutat de Castelló in the second leg of the Primera FEB promotion final, needing to overturn six points.

Later, CD Castellón play at 18:30 at SkyFi Castalia for a place in the promotion play-offs to Primera División. Victory would guarantee their spot without any calculations.

To mark the occasion, Castellón City Council has launched a support campaign, lining the city with banners and posters to rally backing for both teams.

The campaign was presented on Tuesday at City Hall by mayor Begoña Carrasco and sports councillor Maica Hurtado, alongside CD Castellón chief executive Alberto González.

Amics president Javier Fortuño thanked the council for its backing and stressed the importance of the city’s support at a key moment for the club and local sport. It could be a historic day, Amics in the morning, Castellón in the afternoon.
