Miralem Pjanić has been credited with a key role in guiding Kerim Alajbegović to Juventus, the club where the former midfielder spent some of the finest years of his own career.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Pjanić, now working as an agent since retiring last year, accompanied the 18-year-old to Turin and was present as the move was completed.

A close friend of the player’s father, he is said to have been influential in shaping the young Bosnia international’s decision.

Speaking outside Juventus’s Continassa base, Pjanić said he was “happy for the family, who are happy to be here with the boy,” adding that “we hope Kerim will do great things.”

The 36-year-old brought the curtain down on a playing career with Roma, Juventus, Barcelona and CSKA Moscow late in 2025 before moving into agency work.

His standing in Bosnian football, and his personal ties to the Alajbegović family, handed Juventus a useful ally in a crowded race.

Intriguingly, his connections had earlier been floated as a possible boost to Roma, another of his former clubs, but it was the Bianconeri who ultimately prevailed.

Juventus landed the highly rated attacker from Bayer Leverkusen in a deal worth €30m plus €5m in bonuses, seeing off competition led by Chelsea, with Atalanta also interested domestically. Alajbegović has signed a contract running until 2031.
