Inter Miami again failed to win at home, losing 4-3 to rivals Orlando City despite a 12-match unbeaten run. The Herons raced into a three-goal lead but collapsed late.

Ian Fray, Telasco Segovia and Lionel Messi struck to open a three-goal lead inside 40 minutes, with Miami on top through the 33rd minute. Dayne St. Clair, 6.2, made a couple of solid stops and was not chiefly at fault, though goalkeepers often carry the blame. Noah Allen, 6.3, was not the main problem. Micael, 6, looked the steadier centre-back, yet the late collapse reflected poorly on all, while Maxi Falcon, 5, endured his worst outing in a Miami kit.

Ian Fray, 6.9, was arguably Miami’s best defender, providing the defensive security that was needed. Facundo Mura, 6, offered running from full-back after coming on but could not influence the result.

In midfield, Telasco Segovia, 7.7, produced a goal and an assist, yet his work was overshadowed by the defensive collapse. Rodrigo De Paul, 6, covered ground and kept play ticking but made too many sloppy errors for a Designated Player, though this might be a rough patch. Yannick Bright, 7, was busy across the pitch with several progressive sequences on his return from suspension.

Luis Suarez, 7.3, helped the attack look far more cohesive while on the pitch, and his absence was felt after he went off. Lionel Messi, 8, did as much as he could but was let down by the team behind him. German Berterame, 6.7, worked tirelessly and could have taken one or two chances.

From the bench, Tadeo Allende, 6, made a couple of promising runs but never found rhythm. Miami have the chance to respond against Toronto FC next Saturday and must put this result behind them.
