Luka Modric is Football Italia’s MOTM in Milan’s 1-0 win over Bologna but Samuele Ricci, Alexis Saelemaekers and Pervis Estupiñán also impressed.
Milan: Maignan 6 (55′ Terracciano 6); Tomori 6.5, Gabbia 6, Pavlovic 6 (45′ De Winter 6); Saelemaekers 6.5, Fofana 6 (65′ Ricci 7), Modric 8, Rabiot 6, Estupiñán 7; Loftus-Cheek 6 (65′ Pulisic 6.5), Gimenez 5.5 (84′ Nkunku N/A). Coach: Allegri 6
Best Juventus player: Modric 8 – Earlier this week, Modric tweeted ‘age is just a number’ and what a way to follow that up than with arguably his best performance in Rossoneri colours. The talismanic midfielder scored the winning goal and was reliable both in terms of passing and defending throughout the match. At 40 years old, the Croatian played 90 minutes, an impressive feat.

Lowest Milan rating: Gimenez 5.5 – It feels a bit harsh on the Mexican forward but the 24-year-old really should have scored today. The striker hit the woodwork twice before being substituted late on for new signing Nkunku.
Milan coach Allegri: 6 – Did what he had to, AKA the bare minimum. The coach made some good substitutions but largely like-for-like changes. The introduction of Ricci helped to secure the match and the coach’s faith in experienced midfielder Modric was rewarded.

Bologna: Skorupski 6; Zortea 5.5, Lucumi 6, Heggem 6.5, Lykogiannis 5.5 (62′ Miranda 5.5); Ferguson 6, Freuler 5.5, Orsolini 5.5 (74′ Odgaard 6), Fabbian 5.5 (62′ Bernardeschi 5.5), Cambiaghi 5.5 (75′ Rowe 6); Castro 5 (83′ Dallinga N//A). Coach: Italiano 5.
Best Bologna player: Heggem 6.5 – Hard to pick from a lacklustre Rossoblu but the Norwegian defender was probably their best player today. The defender was consistently solid at the back and prevented the scoreline from being much worse for Bologna.
Lowest Bologna rating: Castro 5 – Absolutely ineffectual, the 20-year-old forward made next to no impact in his 83 minutes on the pitch. The forward touched the ball just 19 times and failed to register a single shot all game.

Bologna coach: Italiano 5 – Its hard to tell if the former Fiorentina coach actually did anything wrong but its safe to say he didn’t get anything particularly right either. The Rossoblu dominated in terms of possession but were absolutely powerless to do anything about it. Italiano’s side did not register a single shot-on-target and while this is an equally poor look for the players, the coach did not make the right changes to help his side get back in the game.
