Pisa: Semper 6.5; Caracciolo 6, Canestrelli 6, Lusuardi 6 (64′ Calabresi 6); Touré 6, Marin 5.5 (83′ Stengs N/A), Aebischer 6, Angori 5 (83′ Leris N/A); Tramoni 5.5 (64′ Cuadrado 5.5), Moreo 5.5 (64′ Nzola 5.5); Meister 5. Coach: Gilardino 6.
Best Pisa player: Semper 6.5 – Some crucial saves before Soulé’s winner, which he couldn’t avoid.
Lowest Pisa rating: Meister 5 – He wasted the most important chance of the game for Pisa. The Denmark international will have to fight for a starting spot this season and must convert those chances.

Pisa coach: Gilardino 6 – An excellent performance in the first half, where his men even had two big chances to win the game. They had to surrender to Roma’s press and quality after the break, but the Tuscans have room for improvement, especially with all the new strikers settling in.
Roma: Svilar 6.5; Hermoso 6.5 (82′ Celik N/A), Mancini 6, N’Dicka 6; Wesley 6, Koné 6.5, Cristante 6, Angelino 6 (90′ Rensch N/A); Soulé 7 (90′ El Aynaoui N/A), El Shaarawy 5.5 (46′ Dybala 6.5); Ferguson 6.5 (73′ Dovbyk 6). Coach: Gasperini 6.5.
Best Roma player: Soulé 7 – Won the game for the Giallorossi and had one more goal disallowed shortly afterwards. Probably the best Roma player this summer as he scored some important goals in the pre-season.

Lowest Roma rating: El Shaarawy 5.5 – Only played for 45 minutes before Dybala’s introduction. To be fair, Roma didn’t play much on the left flank in the first half, but he didn’t do much to emerge from Pisa’s defence.
Roma coach: Gasperini 6.5 – Three more points, another goal and another clean sheet. After a first half played at a slow tempo, Gasp made a crucial substitution, introducing Dybala from the bench. The Argentine added quality in the final third and contributed to Soulé’s goal, just like Even Ferguson who provided the assist.
