From the early decades to today, a long list have represented both Valencia and Real Madrid. According to AS, the connections span from the 1930s to the 2020s.

Nebot kept goal for Madrid in 1929-31, then Valencia until 1935. Simón Lecue moved across in 1942 after a stint from 1935 to 1942 with Madrid. Ochoa featured for Valencia in 1934-35 and Madrid in 1943-44, while Elzo played Valencia in 1943-44 then Madrid in 1944-46.

Sol spent 1965-75 at Valencia, joined Madrid in 1975-79, then returned. Planelles played for both in the mid 1970s, and Tendillo switched after 1978-86 at Valencia. Ochotorena, Quique Sánchez Flores and Luis Milla likewise appeared for each side.

Cañizares left Madrid in 1998 to spend 10 seasons at Valencia, and César Sánchez later followed. Predrag Mijatovic moved from Valencia in 1996, while Fernando Morientes joined Valencia in 2006. Mista, Iván Helguera, Raúl Albiol, Roberto Soldado and Ezequiel Garay are also on the list.

Later crossovers include Fernando Gago in 2012 and Sergio Canales in 2011. Dani Parejo left Madrid’s academy for Getafe in 2009, then joined Valencia in 2011 and stayed until 2019-20, with Isco, Rodrigo Moreno, Denis Cheryshev, Álvaro Medrán and Hugo Duro also featuring.
