Neither Brentford nor Fulham could find a winner with Bernd Leno making a late save as an even game finished goalless in west London.
While the game may have finished goalless it wasn't a boring affair between two teams with a shout for European football next season.
Both sides struggled to truly threaten in the first 45 minutes with 11 shots on target between the two teams and only one of those on target.
A bigger concern for Marco Silva will be the fitness of Alex Iwobi who was forced off with an injury just before the break with Samuel Chukwueze taking his place.
The best chance of the came in stoppage time of the 90 minutes. Brentford were improved in the second half and almost took the lead when Dango Ouattara fired an effort from just a few yards out that Leno instinctively reacted to and pushed the shot over the bar.
That result means that Brentford now move ahead of Everton into seventh place while the Cottagers drew level on points with Bournemouth but remain in 12th.
