The Magpies stopper has been in fine form during his side's promising start to the campaign, recording five clean sheets in seven top flight outings so far.

It has been a superb start for United from a defensive perspective and Pope - who passed the 100-appearance mark for Eddie Howe's side last month - has been shortlisted for the monthly award, along with Sunderland's Omar Alderete, Liverpool's Ryan Gravenberch, Manchester City's Erling Haaland, Bournemouth's Antoine Semenyo and Arsenal's Martin Zubimendi.
