FLW takes a look at how supporters can watch Portsmouth v Derby County on Monday evening.

Pompey were beaten 2-1 by Swansea City on Tuesday evening, and they have now picked up just one point in their last four games, with those below them in the relegation zone finding form late on. Oxford United, who are 22nd, are now just two points behind the Hampshire outfit, and a victory against the Rams is now vital.

Meanwhile, John Eustace's team lost 1-0 to Millwall at The Den in mid-week. The East Midlands outfit are three points off the top six, but they have played one more game than Wrexham, and it is of huge importance that they win at Fratton Park to ensure that the Red Dragons do not create a larger gap.

Now, Football League World has taken a look at all the information needed to watch Monday's clash between Derby and Portsmouth.

How to watch Portsmouth v Derby County in the EFL Championship

Pompey and the Rams round off the weekend's Championship action, with their game kicking-off at 8pm on Monday evening, and UK viewers will be able to watch this match live on Sky Sports.

The clash will be on Sky Sports Football, with the build-up starting at 7:30pm. On Sky, that channel is 403, while those on Virgin Media will find the game on 503. This is the only Sky channel broadcasting this second tier fixture, with Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League showing Brentford v Wolves in the top flight.

However, this game can also be accessed through the Sky Sports app on mobile as well as the website. Yet, if you are looking for commentary from your own club's broadcasting team, then RamsTV will be offering a Derby point of view, while Pompey+ has commentary from members of the Portsmouth media staff.

NowTV viewers can also view the game through the NOW app, and is available to those with a Sports Day or Month Membership. NOW TV memberships generally cost around £9.99 per month for Entertainment or Cinema, £34.99 per month for Sports, and £5.99 per month for Hayu. A 24-hour Sports pass is available for £14.99. Boost (ad-free, better quality) costs an extra £9 per month.

Live streams and upcoming EFL matches can be found on the Football page on the app.

Highlights will be available on Sky Sports' YouTube channel after the game, as well as each club's own sites and YouTube channels.

Portsmouth v Derby County stat-pack

The Rams head into this clash with a better recent head-to-head record than their opponent, with Portsmouth having not won any of the last 11 league clashes between the two sides (seven draws, four defeats). They last beat Derby in a league game in the Premier League in the 2007/08 campaign 3-1.

However, since the East Midlands outfit were relegated to 2022, six of the seven games between the two sides have ended in a draw. Monday's visitors did pick up an incredible 4-0 win in the Championship against Pompey in December 2024, and they will be hoping to replicate that this time round.

Only Arsenal and Chelsea have a better unbeaten run in the league against Portsmouth than Derby, with the Blues undefeated against Pompey in their last 26 games, while the Gunners have not been beaten by the Hampshire side in their last 18 meetings.

This fixture has ended in a 2-2 draw at Fratton Park in the last two seasons, with Rob Atkinson scoring twice for the South Coast outfit, as well as an own goal, in April 2025.
