Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison will return to action after the March international break, manager Ange Postecoglou has confirmed.

The Brazilian striker has been on the treatment table since early February due to a calf injury sustained as Tottenham suffered EFL Cup semi-final defeat at the hands of Liverpool at Anfield.

Richarlison had just recovered from a hamstring issue before suffering this latest setback. The Tottenham forward was forced off at half-time during the 4-0 loss, with Mathys Tel replacing him.

The Brazilian, who has 48 international caps, has endured a difficult spell with injuries since his move to North London.

With Spurs set to face AZ Alkmaar in the UEFA Europa Conference League on Thursday, the 26-year-old is unlikely to be involved as he continues his recovery.

Postecoglou remains optimistic about his return but has ruled out any chances of him featuring for Tottenham before the international break.

His absence has been a blow for Tottenham, with the team struggling to get the right options up top. First-choice striker Dominic Solanke has battled injuries and missed small chunks of the season.

Richarlison’s return could provide a much-needed boost for Spurs as they push for a strong finish in domestic and European competitions.

Spurs fans will be eager to see their No. 9 back in action, hoping he can regain form and fitness in time for the crucial run-in.

With the international break approaching, all eyes will be on Richarlison as he looks to put his injury woes behind him and contribute to Tottenham’s campaign.

As much as Spurs fans want Richarlison back to give them options for the remainder of the season, he must be one of the first names on the chopping block this summer.

Signed for £60 million in 2022, his time at Tottenham has been underwhelming, and Spurs should shift him off the books for a more competent striker.

The recent links to Everton are a sign that there is still a market for Richarlison, and Tottenham must not hesitate to let him go, even if they have to take a financial hit.
