Borussia Dortmund will hope to return to winning ways when Freiburg visit the Westfalenstadion in Saturday’s Bundesliga clash. Nuri Sahin is expected to make several changes in defence with Waldemar Anton and Ramy Bensebaini coming back into the squad following an injury and suspension, which should see the return of Pascal Groß in midfield, but they will be without Emre Can who is suspended following his red card in the defeat against Mainz.
Felix Nmecha is expected to retain his position and should play alongside Groß, per kicker, with the latter playing as the six, with Nmecha and Julian Brandt’s playing as two eights.
In attack, Maximilian Beier, Jamie Gittens and Serhou Guirassy should all retain their places in Dortmund’s starting lineup and although a return to light training, Saturday’s game against Freiburg will come too soon for Karim Adeyemi.
Gregor Kobel – Julian Ryerson, Waldemar Anton, Nico Schlotterbeck, Ramy Bensebaini – Felix Nmecha, Pascal Groß – Maximilian Beier, Julian Brandt, Jamie Gittens – Serhou Guirassy
