Searching for a top-four finish this season, Como head out to face Napoli, who could lose their Scudetto defence officially tomorrow evening at Stadio Sinigaglia.

After getting knocked out of the Coppa Italia by Inter by a 3-2 scoreline on aggregate in the semi-finals, Como rebounded their Serie A top-four charge with a 2-0 victory over Genoa in their last match. Goals from Anastasios Douvikas and Assane Diao helped Cesc Fabregas’ men go level on points with Roma in the league standings, but they are still three away from 4th-placed Juventus.

Nico Paz should return to the starting line-up after being hospitalised due to a clash of heads during the Genoa clash. However, he was cleared of any major injuries and is ready to start. Douvikas will lead the lines. Nico Kuhn and Jesus Rodriguez are available to Fabregas for selection. Mergim Vojvoda and Sergi Roberto have resumed training after recovery from their respective knocks, but they are set to be sidelined for this one.

A loss for Napoli tomorrow will officially hand over the Scudetto title to league leaders Inter, who are clear at the top by ten points. A victory for the Partenopei would mean the Nerazzurri would have to win their match against Parma this weekend to lift the league title. Antonio Conte’s side opened a two-point advantage over Milan, thanks to strikes from Scott McTominay, Kevin De Bruyne and Alisson Santos in their previous outing versus Cremonese. Napoli are aiming to finish this season as runners-up and keep the Rossoneri at bay with four games remaining.

Romelu Lukaku nears his exit following a fallout with the Napoli management earlier this month, and he has been excluded from the squad. David Neres and Antonio Vergara are dealing with injuries. Rasmus Hojlund is set to lead the attacking charge in a 3-4-2-1 formation.
