Liam Rosenior’s team have had a week off, and should come into this game against Burnley at close to full power.

Chelsea take on Burnley today at home, and as team selections go for Liam Rosenior, it will be one of the more straightforward he’s had so far.

This week saw his Chelsea team get the first midweek off they’ve had since he arrived at the start of January. He gave the first team four days of holiday, and they should come into the game fresh both mentally and physically.

So barring any injures we don’t know about, the team should be more predictable than usual.

We should have Robert Sanchez in goal, Reece James at right back, Wesley Fofana and Trevoh Chalobah in the middle, and Jorrel Hato at left back while Marc Cucurella is out with a hamstring injury.

In midfield, Andrey Santos and Moises Caicedo have become the default pair. We would be very tempted to leave the exhausted Caicedo on the bench to start the game, given how much he has played. But Rosenior feels unlikely to risk weakening his team at all after warning heavily against complacency.

Ahead of them, we’ll have Enzo Fernandez, Cole Palmer and Pedro Neto as the usual attacking trident. Then Joao Pedro, who got a rest on Friday, up top hoping to keep up his superb scoring form.

In other news…

Liam Delap will be on the bench again today, and the links about a possible transfer are only going to continue.

Liam Rosenior is preparing his players for this afternoon’s game, and has warned against complacency.
