Premier League announce Player of the Season nominees | OneFootball

The Premier League has announced the eight players who are nominated for the 2025/26 Player of the Season award.

The prize, which is determined by both a fan vote and a 'panel of football experts' will be announced next week.

Unsurprisingly, leaders Arsenal have three players up for the award including Golden Glove-winning goalkeeper David Raya, central defender Gabriel Magalhães, and midfielder Declan Rice who have all been key components of Mikel Arteta's side.

There are two representing challengers Manchester City with the league's top scorer Erling Haaland – currently on 26 goals – nominated alongside teammate Antoine Semenyo who began this season as Bournemouth.

One of the favourites for the prize will be Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes whose creativity has seen him notch up an impressive 19 assists so far this season and the playmaker will no doubt be aiming for the record before the end of the campaign.

Brazilian forward Igor Thiago has had a fine campaign for Brentford who have easily defied early expectations and currently sit eight in the table thanks in part to 22 goals from their main man.

Further down the table, Morgan Gibbs-White has arguably had the best season of his career to date scoring 13 goals and making four assists to help his Forest team look safe from the drop.

Fans are now able to vote for their player and have until midday on Monday to do so.
