Forgotten Chelsea star David Datro Fofana is attracting interest from Wolves as they look to replace Matheus Cunha according to reports.

The Blues signed Fofana from Norwegian side Molde in January 2023, but since then he’s made just just four appearances for the club.

The 22-year-old has had loan spells at Hertha Berlin, Burnley and Turkish side Goztepe, and it’s believed teams valued Datro Fofana at €15m last summer.

Datro Fofana attracting interest from Wolves

Datro Fofana is highly unlikely to play for Chelsea again, and he’s one of a number of players the Blues are looking to sell this summer.

Chelsea have made good progress with outgoings, and have sold both Lesley Ugochukwu and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall this week.

Datro Fofana has made just four appearances for Chelsea.

There’s still plenty of work to be done, and Datro Fofana might be one of the more difficult names to move on along with Ben Chilwell.

However, according to The Times Wolves are expressing interest in Datro Fofana as they look to replace Cunha.

It’s unclear what Chelsea’s asking price would be or whether Wolves are interested in a loan or permanent deal, but it could be considered surprising that there’s Premier League interest.

Fofana has shown he’s got something at this level and he scored four goals in 15 appearances for Burnley when they were last in the Premier League.

Nicolas Jackson to leave Chelsea

Nicolas Jackson looks like he could be the next striker to leave Stamford Bridge after Armando Broja and Marc Guiu.

It’s been reported Jackson will leave before the end of the window, with Chelsea said to have set their asking price at £80m.
