Premier League clubs now ‘aware’ of transfer target’s decision to sign for Barcelona | OneFootball

The contingent of Premier League clubs to have expressed an interest in a summer deal for Espanyol star Joan García have been made aware of the goalkeeper’s intention to sign elsewhere.

That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who has on Wednesday provided an update on the situation.

The name of shot-stopper Joan has of course dominated the European headlines for several weeks now.

This comes after a brilliant individual campaign on the books of Espanyol sparked widespread interest in the services of the 24-year-old.

The likes of Newcastle United, Manchester City and Arsenal, from England alone, were all tipped as potential landing spots for Joan.

As alluded to above, though, this week, these clubs, as well as any rival suitors, have been informed of their efforts coming up short.

As per a report from Fabrizio Romano:

‘Premier League clubs now also aware of Joan García final decision: he will play for Barcelona. Move to be completed next week with €25m release clause to be paid.’
