Premier League moves: Tottenham spend £100m as Newcastle add winger and Sunderland lose £21.5m star | OneFootball

A busy Premier League weekend has brought more major business among Leeds United’s rivals, with Tottenham spending £100m on a new midfielder, Newcastle adding a winger and Sunderland losing a £21.5m star.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Arsenal have made Piero Hincapie’s loan move from Bayer Leverkusen permanent for £25m. Jakub Kiwior has joined Porto and Karl Hein has moved to Werder Bremen, both permanent after loans, with eight others released including Samuel Onyekachukwu.

Aston Villa have a pre-contract agreement for Modou Keba Cisse, and Sil Swinkels has joined Sheffield Wednesday.

Bournemouth have appointed Marco Rose head coach. They have parted with Marcos Senesi to Tottenham after his contract expired, plus Luis Sinisterra to Cruizeiro, Romain Faivre to Auxerre, Michael Dacosta Gonzalez to Moreirense and Hamed Traore to Marseille. Andoni Iraola has left and is now Liverpool’s head coach.

Brentford have signed Jannik Schuster from Red Bull Salzburg for £17.2m. Reiss Nelson has returned to Arsenal after a loan, Frank Onyeka has joined Coventry City, Ethan Brierley has moved to Huddersfield Town, Michael Olakigbe has gone on loan to WSG Tirol and Ryan Trevitt has been released.

Jan Paul van Hecke has joined Tottenham for £52m and Jeremy Sarmiento has moved to Middlesbrough. James Milner has retired, while Joel Veltman, Solly March and Adam Webster have left as contracts expired.

Chelsea have signed Marco Palestra from Atalanta for £43m, with Xabi Alonso appointed head coach. Marc Cucurella has joined Real Madrid for £51.8m and Jimmy-Jay Morgan has moved to West Brom for £4m.
