Arsenal’s summer business is well underway, with reports from Sky Sports detailing several potential and imminent signings. Mikel Arteta’s side is expected to travel to Asia for pre-season next month with a revamped look, and there’s a clear intention to refine depth and quality ahead of a season that includes another Champions League campaign.
Among the more eye-catching updates is the Gunners’ interest in Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze. “It is understood Arsenal have explored the conditions of a potential deal, along with several other Champions League clubs in the Premier League,” Sky Sports revealed. The 25-year-old, valued for his flair and unpredictability, would bring a new creative spark to Arsenal’s attacking options.
Eze has a £60 million release clause, potentially rising to £68 million with bonuses, per Sky Sports. Such a figure puts him among the more expensive attacking midfielders in English football, but also reflects his growing influence and maturity. His numbers, dribbling quality, and eye for goal have made him an integral figure at Selhurst Park.

Tottenham are also reported to have him “on their list,” meaning Arsenal would not have a clear run if they push forward. Still, Arteta and sporting director Andrea Berta have not been afraid of competitive bidding, and this summer looks no different.
While the Eze situation remains exploratory, Arsenal’s work in other areas is close to completion. A formal announcement on Martin Zubimendi’s transfer from Real Sociedad is expected next week. “Arsenal have met the £51m release clause and have an agreement in principle on a long-term contract,” reports Sky Sports.
Zubimendi is poised to give the midfield renewed stability, following a season where injuries exposed the lack of depth behind Declan Rice and Jorginho. There is “every expectation Zubimendi will be part of the squad that travels to Singapore and Hong Kong for the club’s pre-season tour next month.”
Meanwhile, Kepa Arrizabalaga’s move from Chelsea to the Emirates is also nearing completion. The Spaniard has already “completed his medical and has an agreement in principle on personal terms,” with Arsenal triggering his modest £5m release clause. Arteta reportedly sees the former world-record goalkeeper as excellent competition for David Raya.

Interest from Arsenal in Real Madrid’s Rodrygo has not diminished. While Sky Sports made clear that “interest remains from Arsenal,” any move for the Brazilian would hinge on Real Madrid’s outgoings, following Kylian Mbappé’s arrival. Rodrygo’s versatility and Champions League pedigree make him a top-tier target, but also one whose fee and availability could stall movement.
With all these elements at play, confirmed moves, clauses explored, and potential blockbusters considered, Arsenal are working with intent, focus, and the long season ahead firmly in mind.

For Arsenal fans, the interest in Eberechi Eze will divide opinion. Some may question whether his output justifies the £60m+ investment, but others will rightly argue that his ability to carry the ball, shift defenders, and link play is exactly what Arsenal have lacked when Bukayo Saka or Martin Ødegaard are marked out of games.
Fans will feel particularly encouraged by the efficient handling of the Zubimendi and Kepa deals. Zubimendi is a smart, calculated signing, a ball-winning controller who complements Rice. And though Kepa hasn’t lived up to his original price tag, a £5m deal for a Champions League and La Liga winner with something to prove feels astute.
As for Rodrygo, few Gooners would say no. But that deal hinges on Madrid’s decisions, not Arsenal’s. Patience will be key.
Overall, Arsenal fans can feel confident that the club is acting decisively. Whether or not Eze or Rodrygo joins, the spine is being strengthened, and that bodes well for a title push and another deep European run.
