A defiant performance from Dubravka extended Burnley’s recent unbeaten run to three games.
The Slovakian shot-stopper made a smart double stop with the game goalless, before excellent saves from Dominic Solanke’s point-blank header and Mathys Tel’s effort kept the Clarets in the game. He could do nothing about either Spurs goal.
Manchester City welcomed back Matheus Nunes from his recent absence, and the Portugal international certainly made a difference.
Rampaged up and down the right against his former club and created the opener with a wicked delivery for Omar Marmoush. Pep Guardiola’s conversion of Nunes to full-back has been a success. This was more evidence of that.
Has taken his chance in the Bournemouth team and looks set to stay there. Hill was excellent again in the win over Liverpool, making seven clearances and registering a wonderful assist with a threaded pass for Alex Jimenez to score.
In addition to his defensive game, Hill’s long throws have become a real weapon for the Cherries. His late launch caused the chaos for Bournemouth’s winner against Liverpool.
Harry Maguire might just be playing himself towards a new contract. The defender’s deal is due to expire in the summer, but he looks like Manchester United’s best centre-back right now.
Excellent again in the win at Arsenal, he didn’t lose a single defensive duel (5/5) and racked up nine clearances.
Full commitment as always from Williams, who helped Nottingham Forest to a vital win at Brentford. The Welshman led the contest for tackles (4) and successful dribbles (2), while winning seven ground duels.
Real Madrid and Manchester United have been linked with Matheus Fernandes this month, and, on this evidence, it’s clear to see why.
Fernandes was phenomenal as West Ham beat Sunderland to breathe fresh hope into their survival bid. He misplaced just five passes all game, completed eight of nine long balls, won 100% of his ground duels (7/7), and scored a simply stunning strike at the London Stadium. An all-action display of the highest order.
Emi Buendia must have thought his time at Aston Villa was done in the summer, but the Argentine has been like a new signing this season. Buendia blasted Aston Villa ahead at Newcastle, as The Villans secured a first win at St James’ Park in 21 years.
It was a glorious goal from Buendia and the highlight of a performance in which he combined graft with guile.
Liam Rosenior hailed Estevao Willian as a ‘special talent’ after the winger’s electric performance in Chelsea’s win at Crystal Palace.
A brilliant breakaway goal from the Brazilian opened the scoring, before Estevao turned provider for Joao Pedro. His potential is frightening.
Looks reborn further forward. Such a threat in transition and made up for an error in the build-up to Arsenal’s opener with a stunning strike to put Manchester United in front.
Michael Carrick will hope his hamstring injury is not serious. Has added such dynamism to this team from the left.
West Ham’s captain delivered this weekend as the Hammers earned an important three points. A brilliant Bowen ball was met by Crysencio Summerville for the opener, before Bowen confidently converted the second from the spot.
He’s now West Ham’s all-time leading goal contributor in the Premier League era and was key in the club’s best performance of the campaign.
Omar Marmoush has spent much of the past week being linked with an exit at Manchester City, but he provided a perfect example of what he can offer.
An excellent volley opened the scoring against Wolves, while Marmoush was lively all game with intelligent runs. He can offer an alternative to Erling Haaland as Manchester City’s leading scorer endures a tricky period.
