Premier League: New financial rules raise concerns at UEFA!

Premier League: UEFA sounds the alarm!
UEFA is closely monitoring the evolution of the financial regulations adopted by the Premier League. The European governing body fears that the new system introduced by the English top flight will further widen the already substantial economic gap between England and the rest of the continent’s leagues.
Starting next season, English clubs will be able to allocate up to 85% of their revenue to squad costs, a threshold that could even reach 115% in certain scenarios. This margin is significantly higher than UEFA’s requirements, which cap such spending at 70% for clubs participating in its competitions.
Already a dominant financial force, the Premier League commands a significant share of European football’s revenues and attracts many of the world’s most valuable players. English officials, however, defend this reform, arguing that it will allow more clubs to invest and remain competitive against the league’s wealthiest sides.
