Paul Smyth hit the post (50.) as Queens Park Rangers pushed, and Daniel Iversen made smart stops during a growing spell of pressure.

The leveller arrived via an own goal from Thierry Small (82.).

Seven minutes of second half stoppage time were indicated, and Iversen preserved the point with another save from Bennie late on.

Queens Park Rangers attempted 18 shots and won six corners. Preston registered eight attempts and had 51% of the ball.
