Derby County and Hull City meet at Pride Park Stadium on Tuesday evening in Round 14 of the EFL Championship.
The Rams currently sit 17th in the table with 17 points, having boosted their confidence with an impressive 3-1 victory away to Sheffield United last time out. John Eustace’s men will be hoping to build on that result as they look to climb further up the standings.
Hull City, meanwhile, continue to push for a play-off spot. Sergej Jakirovic’s side head into the midweek clash in seventh place on 22 points after a convincing 2-0 win against Norwich City at Carrow Road.
Derby edged the last meeting between the sides 1-0, and with both teams in great form, another closely fought contest is expected under the lights at Pride Park.
Cory Hancock (The Rams Review Podcast): Derby County return to Pride Park on the back of three consecutive wins. The past ten days have been very good for John Eustace and his side. Derby were very good last time out at Bramall Lane and caused no end of problems for The Blades.
The home form needs to get better and this test against Hull provides a great opportunity to right that ship and (more importantly) keep the winning momentum going.
Carlton Morris has found his goal scoring form again with four goals in his past two games (including his first career hat-trick last time out). Morris is the second top scorer in the Championship and is once again showing his class at this level. Sondre Langas' return to the team has corresponded with the team's uptick in form, which is no coincidence, as he is a top player.
Hull come into the match in great form but have been plagued with injuries to key players. Despite this The Tigers are a dangerous team, and The Rams need to be weary. With Derby looking more solid recently, I'll back them to make it four wins on the spin.
