After midweek success in the Champions League, the Juventus Men’s First Team’s attention returns to Serie A matters as Napoli visit the Allianz Stadium on Sunday evening. Kick-off in this Matchday 22 fixture is set for 18:00 CET.

The Bianconeri will be hungry to bounce back after the slip at Cagliari last time out, and come into the weekend in fifth place on 39 points.

Napoli, for their part, are third in the table with 43 points.

Let’s get up to speed with the pre-match statistics ahead of Sunday afternoon.

Interesting Facts

  • Juventus are the side against whom Napoli have lost the most Serie A matches - 71 of 159. As well, the Partenopei have lost 48 times on the road to Juventus, winning just nine, only losing more away games to Inter (51).
  • Since Luciano Spalletti’s arrival as coach, the Bianconeri have picked up 24 points in Serie A - more than Napoli’s 22, and bettered only by Milan (28) and Inter (31).
  • The Bianconeri have kept six clean sheets from their last nine matches, conceding just three goals in that time and never more than one per game. The last time they conceded more than once in a game came against Napoli on 7 December.
  • Kenan Yildiz has had a hand in 101 shots taken this season in Serie A - 60 of his own and 41 chances created - fewer than only Nico Paz’s 117. Yildiz has also hit the post more than any other player in the league this season (five times), as well as being the league’s most-fouled player in the final third of the pitch.
  • Manuel Locatelli is one appearance away from his 300th in Serie A. Curiously, the first of his three penalty goals came against Napoli on 1 November, 2020, as a Sassuolo player.
  • Since the beginning of the Serie A season, no outfield player has played more than Pierre Kalulu’s 2610 minutes - 100% of those played by Juventus
  • Jonathan David has been involved in four goals in his last five league games (two goals and two assists). He is also one win away from his 100th victory across Europe’s top-five leagues in 198 appearances so far.

Opposition Focus

  • Napoli are the team with the highest proportion of their goals scored by midfielders this season (48% - 15 of 31).
  • After his brace against the Bianconeri in December, Rasmus Hojlund could become just the third Napoli player to score in each of the two league matches against Juventus, after Marek Hamsik in 2009/10 and Lorenzo Insigne in 2020/21.
  • Scott McTominay has been involved in four goals (three of his own, one assist) in his last six Serie A appearances, which is as many as he’d managed in his previous 14 league outings. Since his arrival in Italy, no player has scored more headers across all competitions than his nine - along with Matteo Pellegrino and Marcus Thuram.
  • Napoli have won 70% of the games in which David Neres has been a starter, averaging 2.2 points per game, as opposed to just 55% without him in their initial XI for an average of 1.9.
  • Romelu Lukaku could appear to play, 247 days after his last Serie A outing on 23 May, 2025. He has three goals against the Bianconeri in Serie A, two of which have come in his three most recent games against them.
