Manchester United will return to FA Cup action on Friday night, as they welcome Leicester City to Old Trafford in the fourth round of the domestic competition.
United beat Arsenal on penalties after a dramatic 1-1 draw in the previous round, while the Foxes triumphed over Queens Park Rangers to make it thus far in the tournament.
Manager Ruben Amorim has endured a very difficult start to life in the Premier League after taking over as new Man Utd manager in November.
In 19 matches across all competitions, the Portuguese boss has recorded eight wins and eight losses. His side are languishing in 13th position in the table, with the FA Cup and the Europa League now likely to be their only route back into Europe next season.
United will enter Friday’s game on the back of a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace at the weekend.
But they will fancy their chances against a struggling Leicester side who they have already beaten twice at Old Trafford this season.
The Foxes appointed Ruud van Nistelrooy in December, but things haven’t gone well for the Dutchman at the King Power Stadium.
The Midlands outfit have lost eight of their 12 matches in all competitions under the 48-year-old, with their latest defeat coming at the hands of Everton last weekend.
United star Lisandro Martinez could be out of action for up to six months after tearing his ACL against Palace. Luke Shaw, Jonny Evans and Mason Mount are also sidelined with fitness issues, while Marcus Rashford and Tyrell Malacia left the club on loan to Aston Villa and PSV Eindhoven respectively.
As for Leicester, Ricardo Pereira and Abdul Fatawu remain long-term absentees, but Wilfred Ndidi is close to regaining full fitness from a thigh injury.

The Red Devils have been far from convincing with their performances this campaign, but we believe they should overcome Leicester on Friday. The Foxes will be low on confidence following the 4-0 thrashing they suffered at the hands of Everton last weekend.
