Leeds United Women travel to the North East again, this time to face Norton & Stockton Ancients in their second FA WNL Cup Group U fixture this weekend.
The Whites will be looking to bounce back from a narrow defeat against Cheadle Town last time out on league duties, falling to a 1-0 loss after Jessica Lightfoot’s goal after the break.
Previously in Group U, Leeds saw off Halifax Women 1-0, thanks to Darcie Greene’s mazy run and finish against her former club.
The hosts are coming in off the back of a 3-2 win over Stockport County, thanks to a hattrick from Bianca Owens.
Last season, the Whites completed the double over Norton & Stockton, running out 3-0 winners in both meetings, at home thanks to goals from Drew Greene, Alice Hughes and Kath Smith, and on the road, a brace from Amy Woodruff and 60th minute goal from Smith again.
Leeds previously lifted the FA WNL Plate back in 2023 and will be seeking to add more silverware to the collection this campaign.
Action from the Norton Sports Complex gets underway at 2pm on Sunday.

The view from inside the camp:
Ahead of the game, Whites midfielder Hughes spoke about the start to the season, the importance of bouncing back and what a cup run would mean to the players and club.
“We’ve had quite a few new additions, so I think we’re still finding our feet in that sense. There’s a lot of positives we can take from the first games but I think there’s definitely a lot of areas to improve on.”
“We always know it’s a tough game against Norton but we know their areas of strength, and we know ours as well.”
