The Kassam Stadium will host Tuesday night’s Championship encounter between Oxford United and high-flying Stoke City in Round 14 of the 2025/26 campaign.
Oxford, currently 18th in the table with 13 points, will be looking to build on their spirited 2-2 draw with Millwall last time out. Gary Rowett’s side have shown resilience in recent weeks but face one of their toughest tests yet as they welcome a side sitting firmly in the promotion picture.
Stoke City make the trip to Oxford in fine form and full of confidence after their emphatic 5-1 victory over Bristol City. Mark Robins’s team occupy third place with 24 points and will be aiming to keep pace with the early leaders as they chase automatic promotion.
The last meeting between the sides ended goalless, but with both teams carrying attacking intent into this fixture, goals are expected under the lights at the Kassam.
Angela Smith (Knot FM): Stoke have won 3 of the last 5 games. The 5-1 win on Saturday against Bristol City will have boosted confidence too.
Games against Oxford are often tight affairs so I doubt we'll see lots of goals and former manager Rowett will be keen to get one over his old club
