Joshua Zirkzee should get another chance to prove his worth when Manchester United take on Crystal Palace on Sunday at noon.

The Dutchman earned his first Premier League start of the season on Monday when the Red Devils hosted Everton at Old Trafford. However, the outcome was quite disappointing.

MUFC were awarded an early numerical advantage thanks to Idrissa Gueye’s shocking behaviour (slapping his teammate Michael Keane in the face), and yet it was the Toffees who took the lead through Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and managed to defend their lead until the very end.

Joshua Zirkzee should be confirmed against Crystal Palace

On Monday, Zirkzee failed to make the most out of the opportunity. Although he came close on a couple of occasions, his headers were denied by Jordan Pickford.

Nevertheless, the continued absence of Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko could give the former Bologna star another opportunity to start at Selhurst Park. Amorim confirmed the two summer signings have yet to recover from their injuries.

Zirkzee should lead the line, flanked by Bryan Mbeumo and Mason Mount, who makes his return to the starting lineup.

Diogo Dalot to replace Patrick Dorgu in Man Utd lineup vs Crystal Palace

Amad Diallo will likely start as a right wing-back this time, while Diogo Dalot is the favourite to land himself a starting role on the opposite flank.

The versatile Portuguese was dropped from the lineup following his poor performance in Nottingham, but Patrick Dorgu didn’t fare much better against Everton, so Dalot could be restored.

The rest of the lineup should remain intact, with Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes combining in the double pivot, and Matthijs de Ligt operating in between Leny Yoro and Luke Shaw at the back. The defence almost picks itself in the absence of Harry Maguire and with the recently returned Lisandro Martinez still short on match fitness.

Finally, Senne Lammens will unsurprisingly keep his place between the posts.

Man Utd Probable XI (3-4-2-1): Lammens; Yoro, De Ligt, Shaw; Amad, Casemiro, Fernandes, Dalot; Mbeumo, Mount; Zirkzee
