Promoted Le Mans to extend Lucas Bretelle’s deal to 2029 | OneFootball

According to L'Équipe, Le Mans are set to announce a one-year extension for Lucas Bretelle, taking his deal to 2029, six months after his January arrival.

Bretelle signed in January on terms running to 2028 and the new agreement will add a further year. The midfielder is 24 and previously played for Orléans from 2022 to 2025.

After a six-month spell at La Louvière, he joined Le Mans and recovered from an ankle injury before contributing in the run-in. He featured in 13 Ligue 2 matches in the second half of the season, scoring two and assisting one.

He became one of Patrick Videira’s key players during the final sprint to promotion.

There was interest from Ligue 1 clubs, and from Germany and the Netherlands. Bretelle, however, wishes to experience Ligue 1 with the side he helped take up in the spring.
