Achraf Hakimi
Despite Achraf Hakimi's impressive performances throughout the season and currently at the Club World Cup, major concerns are being raised. This worry is notably voiced by consultant Pierre Ménès.
A key architect of Paris Saint-Germain's historic season, which saw the club win the Champions League for the first time in its history, Achraf Hakimi has been relentless, stringing together match after match at a furious pace. This intensity is raising alarms about his physical condition.
The Moroccan international has racked up 52 appearances for the capital club this season (with 11 goals and 14 assists, totaling 4,415 minutes on the pitch). And that's not counting the fact that the former Inter man never holds back, repeatedly making high-intensity runs down the right flank.
Hakimi is currently in the United States, competing in the Club World Cup with PSG. With this extended 2024-2025 campaign, the Moroccan star will have little time to rest, as the Ligue 1 season resumes on the weekend of August 16-17. Furthermore, the 2025-2026 season is shaping up to be just as demanding for the Atlas Lion. In addition to a packed schedule with PSG, Hakimi will represent Morocco at the Africa Cup of Nations (from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026) and the World Cup (from June 11 to July 19, 2026).
On his YouTube channel, Pierre Ménès expressed serious concern. "He'll have to play the Africa Cup of Nations with Morocco and the World Cup. We can trust Luis Enrique to manage his squad, but I would be surprised to see Hakimi wearing a PSG shirt in August." That would be bad news for PSG.
