PSG and Liverpool target Yan Diomandé: ‘The Premier League? Why not?’ | OneFootball

Speaking after Ivory Coast’s slender win over Ecuador in the FIFA World Cup, Red Bull Leipzig’s Yan Diomandé (19) addressed his future at club level. 

The Ivorian has been heavily linked with a move away from RB Leipzig this summer, amid intense interest from Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain. Diomandé logged 13 goals and nine assists with RB Leipzig, and he highly contributed to the Red Bull-owned return to the Champions League. His performances have seen Europe’s elite come sniffing, and according to a report from Foot Mercato, he already has an agreement in place with PSG, recently crowned UEFA Champions League champions for consecutive seasons. 

In an interview with Téléfoot, he then revealed that he was a childhood fan of the reigning European champions. But as he revealed on Monday, he is also tempted by a move to the biggest league in world football.

“The Premier League? I am an RB Leipzig player but why not? But it is my agents who manage it and I am focused on the World Cup,” said Diomandé. His comments will be a boost to Liverpool’s hopes of signing the winger.
